Bodog's 15th Anniversary $500 Freerolls
by Bodog Poker | Sep 16 2009
One of the ways that Bodog is celebrating their 15th Anniversary year in operation is by pumping up the tournament action for everyone. Besides all the regular events, Bodog is always offering their players exciting and diverse tournament action.
Flight Club, the
Bodog Poker Open, and the
Mini Poker Series are just a few examples of the diverse action that Bodog poker players can play. Until October 2 some of the current promotional tournaments they're offering are
$500 Freeroll Tournaments twice a day. That's at least $1K in free money you can play for every day without any risk to your bankroll.
The tournaments are scheduled to start at 2:40pm ET and 9:40pm ET daily. You can play in as many of the 15th Anniversary tournaments as you want; there's no limit even if you win one. Buy-ins are free but there will be $1 re-buys permitted until the first break. After the additional $1 add-ons are all collected during the first break the prize pool will be tallied up and should grow well beyond the $500 that Bodog is putting up.
Unlike a lot of freerolls online you can win real money playing in these events. Players don't win tournament dollars, they win real money that can be used in any game or cashed out for profit. The events are easy to find, just look under the "Scheduled Tournaments" tab on the Poker Software. Just remember to sign up early because the number of entrants is limited.
Players will start with 1,000 chips and will be able to re-buy an additional 1,500 chips for USD$1 any time that their stack is below 1,000, before the first break arrives. The add-ons will be worth an additional 2,000 chips and can be bought regardless of your stack size at the time of the add-on.
If you manage to go deep enough into the tournament you will win a piece of the $500 prize pool which will be divided as per regular tournament payout structures. That cash can pad your bankroll or get you into a bigger event that could become a huge payday if you're lucky enough. Who knows, you could turn the cash into a Flight Club trip or a seat into a big tournament like the
World Series of Poker.
Try your luck in the $500 Daily Freerolls - you'll likely find the action to be loose because of the re-buys and the simple fact that it is a freeroll. All that aggression makes them fun tournaments to play in, and the add-on essentially turns them into deep-stack tournaments after the first break. It's not like you have anything to lose, so get some of the freeroll cash that Bodog is throwing around these days.
