Bodog Poker Open IV Championship & Contender Series Results

Bodog poker has been offering special tournaments all year to celebrate their 15th year in business. The latest events to wrap are the bodog Poker Open IV and the Contender Series, and like all bodog.com events they had lots of added value. In total bodog.com added 65K to the prize pools and threw in free seats to the BPO IV Main Event to each BPO event winner. The BPO IV began on November 1 and the Main Event wrapped up November 8. The Contender Series ran simultaneously with the Championship Series, and the Contender Main Event champion was crowned on the 8th as well.
The fourth edition of the Bodog Poker Open began with the $109 NLHE, with bodog.com adding $15K. That made a prize pool of $60,400 for the 454 entrants. The winner was "1ManCrew", who padded his bankroll to the sum on $15,100. The second event was the $270 NLHE that had 137 players playing for $39,250 and a Main Event seat. "jhkues" won the $11,775 first-place prize. The BPO IV Event #3 (Six-Handed) was taken by "graytambar", who won $11,850 for his efforts. He beat out 114 others for the big share of the $39,500 prize pool.
The fourth event in the BPO IV was the NLHE $55 Re-Buy event. It was won by "chiquita", who pocketed $9,810. "chiquita" also finished second in the first event of the Series, winning another $9,060 two days earlier. Event #5 was the Pot Limit tournament, and the first-place money of $5,685 was captured by "Weslo18". The Fixed Limit Event #6 was next and it attracted 57 players to the $11,050 prize pool. "Justin58" won $3,313 and a seat in the Main Event.
The BPO IV Main Event had 257 players playing for a $145,790 prize pool after bodog.com added an extra $25K. Taking down the event was "MrElPaso", who won $36,447 and the title of BPO IV champion. He beat out "dvbronco", who took home second-place money of $24,419.
The Contender Series Event #1 was won by "I_Have_AA" after he beat out 412 other players for the $1,875 first-place prize. Event #2 first-place money of $1,215 went to "iliketoplay" after he beat out 161 other players. The six-handed Event #3 was won by "account99" who added $756 to his bankroll. The #4 Re-Buy tournament had 123 players entered and was won by "XXceLL" - he won $652. In the #5 Contender Series tournament, "papastacks" beat out 105 others to win the $636 first-place prize. The Fixed Limit Event #6 drew 77 players and was won by “Oddball”, who pocketed $346.
The Contender Series event #7 Turbo went to "TroutBum764", who beat out 115 others for an $870 payout. The Main Event had 204 players, but it was "hithchops" who outlasted them all; he won the $3,268 and the crown as the Contender Champion.
