Catching Up with Bodog Pro Evelyn Ng

Bodog
Poker Pro Evelyn Ng has been one of the most popular female poker players on the pro tours for years. She's was around the Vegas poker scene before Chris Moneymaker changed poker forever, and she's always a force at any table she decides to sit in on. Last year was a rough year for the young poker diva, but her play was limited and her luck was worse.
Despite lots of camera time and promotional opportunities, the former blackjack dealer spends a lot of time traveling to exotic locations to play in big
poker tournaments. Bodog caught up to her and found out what she's been up to and what she has planned for the spring.
Ng has been on a break from live poker but has been spending time playing on her Bodog table. She's been in a relationship with Dutch poker pro Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis for nearly two years now, and when she's not with him or
playing poker you'll likely find her playing one her favorite video games like Rock Star, Snude, or even Minesweeper.
"Over the last few months, I have been taking an extended break from playing live tournament poker and have mostly played online at my Bodog table. I'm also happy to say I've started playing Magic: The Gathering, which has become a big hobby of mine."
Once she gets back into the live games she intends on playing a busy schedule of tournaments. She will be going to Europe with her boyfriend and will be taking advantage of the growing prize pools on the European tours. More young players are travelling the world to play because the U.S. is no longer the only place to find the big live game prize pools.
"I'm looking forward to doing some travelling for the next couple of months and have some great trips to Europe planned, where I will also be visiting my boyfriend in Holland. I plan on participating in several tournaments, the first of which will be the $5K EPT Snowfest on March 21st in Austria. After that, I think I will play the $10K EPT San Remo on April 15th in San Remo, Italy. Lastly, I'll be playing the $15K EPT Grand Final on April 25th in Monte Carlo. I'm looking forward to visiting each of these beautiful cities and hopefully doing well in the tournaments!"
After a great showing in the 2008
WSOP Evelyn had no money cashes at the tournament last year, as well as an early exit from the Main Event. She was under the weather with the flu during the Main Event last year was not at the top of her game. This year she intends on improving on last year's results.
"I'm also gearing up for the grueling WSOP schedule, which requires quite a bit of preparation. I am, of course, very excited for this year's WSOP and hope to play most of the holdem events."
