'Naughty or Nice' Poker Pros

Well it's another year almost over and the holidays are just around the corner. Santa has been watching all the poker professionals, deciding who's been naughty and who's been nice. Some pros can expect great gifts under the tree this year, while others will be lucky to get a lump of coal stuffed in their stocking. This is a list of the nicest and the naughtiest poker pros that seem to go out of their way to be one or the other.

At the top of the naughty list has to be the Poker Brat Phil Hellmuth. Santa has seen all the outbursts and rude comments he's made all year and plans on making sure he doesn't win any more coveted WSOP bracelets in 2010. Although the WSOP has a new conduct policy that has forced him to behave better, he's still the naughtiest of all the pros on the tours.

Right behind Hellmuth on the naughty list is U.K. professional Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott. Ulliott has become a WPT champion and WSOP bracelet winner, but continues to carry a big chip on his shoulder. Santa has watched him berate many players who made a bad play that resulted in him losing a hand. Devilfish is one of the sorest losers on the pro tours, and Santa won't likely be putting anything under his tree again this year.

Santa's nice list is topped again by the generous Barry Greenstein. Known as the "Robin Hood of Poker", Greenstein continues to donate most of his tournament winnings to the charities that he has chosen. Santa has always been good to Barry, who has made millions playing the game over the last three decades.

Another nice poker pro Santa will be taking care of is Phil Gordon. Phil is a poker player and commentator who's been raising money for cancer research for over six years now. The “Bad Beat on Cancer” initiative he helped create has grown since 2003 when it was created, and Gordon has also become a member of the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation.

There are two players who have Santa on the fence this year. Mike Matusow has always been a member of Santa's naughty list but has changed a lot of his evil ways over the last year. This year Mike just might get a gift from Santa - maybe it will be another deep run in the WSOP Main Event. The other player that Santa can't decide on is Annie Duke. She can be a naughty girl when interacting with others, but she also has a giving side that raises money for war-torn victims in Darfur. Those two will just have to wait to see if they made the Santa grade or not this year.

And last but certainly not least, is Team Bodog Pro Evelyn Ng. Now here's a poker pro that is both naughty and nice. ;)
