No poker room sends its patrons on exotic trips to play in big
poker tournaments like Bodog Poker. Players have been winning all-expenses-paid trips to cities all over the world in the Bodog Poker room through promotions like the
Bodog Flight Club and the
Ultimate Sports Fan Experience, and now Bodog is sending 10 players to play in the
Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic tournament in Montreal from April 15-18. Qualifying has already begun and there's a wide array of action for every skill level and bankroll.
The 10 lucky winners will get a $2400 package that will include the $1650 buy-in fee and $750 in spending money. The winners will be part of Team Bodog at the event and will enjoy all that being a member entails; and
Team Bodog is always well taken care of on the pro tournament scene. Just imagine being in exciting Montreal with a pile of spending cash in hand. There aren't too many towns that offer as much culture and nightlife as Montreal, and, unlike most places in North America, 18 years old is all you have to be to enjoy everything the city has to offer.
There are lots of different ways to qualify for the trip. Buy-ins starts as low as $1, and top out at $215 for the Satellite. You can also qualify using your poker points with the 1650 PTS qualifier. Each final qualifier will award two seats to the Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic tournament in Montreal. Direct buy-in to the final qualifiers will cost the most with a $215 price tag on them, but getting into the finals can be as cheap $1, $5, $24, or $44. You can also play in one of the 10-handed sit-and-go tournaments that have been running throughout the day since March 1.
At that price there's no reason not to try and qualify for the trip. If you do manage to win a trip to the Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic tournament in Montreal you'll be playing against some the best players in the world, and will be battling for what is expected to be a $500K-plus prize pool. That will make for a sweet return on a small investment if you're one of the lucky players to get the seat. You could come home with hundreds of thousands of dollars and a prestigious poker title under your belt.
The tournament was organized to promote the release of the new poker magazine called Poker Pro Canada. The winner of the tournament is sure to get their picture all over the publication to go along with their fat winner's cheque.
"This is the first new poker publication that has been launched in years, and we want to kick off Poker Pro Canada with a bang, and this big event is one way we are doing that," said Poker Pro Editor-in-Chief John "Johnny Quads" Wenzel. "I will be competing in this event, so you know there will be some 'dead money' there. Come and get it."
