The 2010 World Poker Challenge played out at the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno over the weekend, and the final table of the Main Event was mainly a collection of experienced pros that included a previous World Poker Challenge champion and a WSOP bracelet winner. The tournament's Main Event attracted 102 players for a $197,880 prize pool, and 12 players got paid in the event. The winner's share was $57K and the action started on Saturday, wrapping up the next day.
The winner was Klemath Falls, OR native Tim Clark. It was his second tournament win at the 2010 World Poker Challenge, having taken down a $200 PLO event only four days before. He won just shy of $3K in the PLO event, which put his 2010 World Poker Challenge total up over $60K. In the Main Event he beat out Reno resident Roy Peters in the heads-up battle, and Peters had to settle for the $39K second-place prize. Like Clark, Peters was on a crazy run at the 2010 World Poker Challenge where he managed to make four final tables in less than two weeks.
The third-place finisher was unknown amateur Tyler Martin. It was Martin's first live cash of note, paying him almost $26K for his efforts. In fourth place was Gulfport, MS poker legend “Captain” Tom Franklin. Franklin has a WSOP bracelet and has won nearly $3M playing in live tournaments. Franklin's poker feats speak for themselves, but he wasn't able to take down the entire field on that day, settling for the $18K fifth-place prize.
The other big-name player at the final table was 2004 World Poker Challenge champion Mike Kinney. Besides winning this event before, he's won over $890K playing live tournaments; including two wins and 11 final table appearances. His biggest cash out is still his 2004 World Poker Challenge win where he took home nearly $630K.
The final 12 payout results looked like this;

In the end it was Greg Sessler who took down the tournament, pocketing $25,742 in the process. It was his third live tournament win, and his lifetime live tournament winnings rose to over $60K. He beat out NY poker vet Joe Cutler in the heads-up battle, and Cutler had to settle for the $15K second-place prize.
