Sit and Go Tournaments,
Tournaments
August 16 2008
When you play Sit and Go tournaments, you should carefully consider which game is best for you. Buying into a poker room for $100 and playing in an $80 Sit and Go is not the way to maintain a bankroll or protect yourself from going broke. Your Sit and Go tournaments should only be a fraction of your total bankroll, even at lower stakes. You can play Sit and Go tournaments online for as little as a dollar.
The rule to follow is that the tournament shouldn’t be more than 5 percent of your total bankroll. That gives you lots of opportunities to lose and still have money to play more. So the next time you buy in for $100 to play some Sit and Go tournaments, you should only be playing in $5 tourneys. As your bankroll builds, so can the stakes of tournaments you play.
If you keep a list of players that you find easy to beat, you can search out tournaments that have those players registered to play. If you know there is at least one weak player at the table, you will have an edge over the other players.
